Welcome to my 100th post! I got a Kindle for Christmas this year. I wasn’t that bothered about HD, 3G, colour screens and lights and all the other fancy accessories so I just got the standard model with an E Ink screen and bought a leather cover for less than £2 from eBay this morning. I haven’t put any eBooks on it yet but will make sure I get it well stocked very soon…
For those who think I am heading over to the dark side of eBooks forever and ever, fear not. I still have this pile of books to catch up on (and many others that aren’t pictured…).
A very Merry Christmas to you all!
Merry Christmas. Enjoy your kindle. I am still a book fan but am trying to use my iPhone for audiobooks and my iPad for ebooks. Still learning to love it…

Reading e-books on the iPad is hard going compared to an e-reader such as a Kindle. iPads are heavy and the back-light on the screen is tiring on the eyes. If you really want to embrace e-books, invest in an e-reader and you’ll no doubt enjoy the difference.

I will have to stop in at the bookshop and try one out in the store. I didnt think there was much difference between the two. Cheers.

Enjoy! I have long been a fan of the Kindle but I still read hard copy books as well – there’s room for all sorts of books in my life!

Welcome to ebook reading. I have had one for about 6 months now but I still and always will prefer real books. You’ve got a great TBR pile there. Liked Brick Lane. Read 250 pages of Midnight’s Children and found it to be utterly pretentious and extremely difficult to understand. Interested to find out how you like it. For ebooks, I just make sure they don’t cost me over 5€. If they cost more than that I prefer to buy a real book. You should check out the free ebooks too. Happy reading….

It’s a great complement the kindle, but there’s nothing like browsing one’s own bookshelf for the next book and turning real pages. I have Murakami’s short stories on the shelf to read too.

Enjoy your Kindle; I use my Samsung Galaxy pad for BBC news & word games – can’t be doing with e-books, when my TBR pile if mounting dangerously skyward – you’ve got some lovely reads in store, especially the Desai & the Murakami. I tried to read Monica Ali’s Yellow Brick Road twice, & in the end, abandoned it. Can’t win ’em all.

That’s a lot of books you have there. Just got to reading that novel by Kiran Desai recently. Master and Margarita is one of my favorite novel ever. I also like God of Small Things. Enjoy all those books. Happy New Year!
