Blog Update

DissertationI have been neglecting the blog a bit recently because I have been busy finishing my dissertation for my Master’s degree which is due to be handed in next Friday.  As usual, I am very behind with writing up book reviews, responding to emails and comments etc but normal service will hopefully be resuming by the end of next week.

As well as being busy with the dissertation, I have also been learning to drive over the summer and so the book I have been looking at the most in recent weeks is the Highway Code in preparation for my theory test.  You will be pleased to know that I won’t be reviewing it.  Instead, I am looking forward to catching up on some of the books which I have been neglecting for months and being able to read for pleasure without a stack of academic reading looming in the background.

I might be tweaking and updating a few things on my blog soon like adding things to my reading list and playing around with widgets but I probably won’t be making any dramatic changes.  Any ideas and suggestions regarding layout and content are very welcome though.

Oh, and thanks, as always, for reading my blog and leaving lots of comments.  I really do appreciate that. 🙂

Good luck! I’m handing mine in too, week on Monday! What’s your subject/research area? Very impressed you’ve maintained this anyway, considering!

Oh go on – review the Highway Code as if it were a postmodern novel.

  4. Good luck with the dissertation!

  5. Great to hear an update with such a great reason to take a blogging break. Best of luck when you present your dissertation!

  6. Good luck with your dissertation and congratulations on being so close to done 🙂

  8. Good luck with your dissertation! All your hard work will pay off soon 🙂 x

  9. Best of luck with everything! I read my dissertation last July and I almost cried when it was done, presented and approved (and rated). You can’t imagine the sense of accomplishment and productiveness you’ll get once is over 😀

  10. Hope that your dissertation hand-in went well! Congrats on being finished. I’m just starting my undergraduate dissertation, on Thomas Hardy, now and I’m pretty nervous. I have a feeling that those ‘6 Steps to Completing Your Dissertation’ will be my life for the next few months. x
